Middlebury Animal Clinic was initially started in the 1960s by Dr. Hankins. He practiced large and small animal medicine out of a barn that used to stand close to the road. The practice was purchased by Dr. Kraig Kaminsky in 1990. Dr. K also initially practiced large and small animal medicine but then transitioned to a small animal only clinic. In the 2000s, the practice outgrew the old barn and Dr. K built a new clinic. This is where the clinic is now. In 2015, Dr. Sara Granberg bought the practice from Dr. K who was retiring.
A long time Middlebury resident, Dr. Granberg was very excited to be able to work close to home and her family. Since then, the two doctor practice has grown to a four doctor practice with an extensive support staff. There has also been the addition of a rehabilitation practice (Michiana Animal Rehabilitation Services) in what used to be the garage! The clinic focuses on very advanced medicine for a general practice. The goal is to offer the best medical and diagnostic services in the area. And, doing so with excellent customer service, compassion and quality. The team prides itself in the individual care each animal receives. The support of the community is outstanding and the clinic is blessed to have such amazing clientele.
